Mr. Arnold currently serves as Senior Advisor for Policy & Government Relations for Secretary of State Elaine Marshall. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Terry Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. Prior to that he was Gov. Beverly Perdue's Senior Policy Advisor, a position he also held during Perdue's term as Lt. Governor. Mr. Arnold has also worked as senior research director for the NC Health and Wellness Research Trust Fund, which is one of three entities created by the NC General Assembly to invest North Carolina's portion of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. Mr. Arnold also worked as Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Relations for the nonprofit Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education in Raleigh, the state's largest health education center. Prior to his role in healthcare policy, Mr. Arnold served nearly 10 years in administration and on faculty with the UNC University System.
